Brunei Darussalam's Crown Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, in his capacity as Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office of Brunei Darussalam, has announced that, once again, the upcoming observance of the 69th birthday of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's, would be moved from its traditional date in the middle of July to Saturday, August 15, 2015, which has been declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Brunei Darussalam.

As was the for the past 2 years (2013-07-08 and 2014-06-28), the aforementioned declaration of an additional non-working public holiday in Brunei Darussalam on Saturday, August 15, 2015, is due to the actual birthday of the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam falling during the month of Ramadan 2015, but once again, the actual date of July 15 will remain a non-working public holiday in Brunei Darussalam, in line with the list of official bank holidays and public holidays in Brunei Darussalam for the calendar year 2015, as released, earlier this year (2015-01-17), by the Information Department of Brunei Darussalam's Prime Minister's Office.
