Fiji's Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, has moved the "Employment Relations Amendment Bill 2015, a Bill for an act to amend the Employment Relations Promulgation 2007" for urgent consideration by Parliament, with a view to enshrine another new annual non-working public holiday in Fiji, Constitution Day.
The aforementioned new annual non-working public holiday in Fiji, is to be observed every year, from 2016, on September 7. The amendment to the bill will be debated in parliament tomorrow.
A year ago (2014-07-09), the date of the newly created National Sports Day Fiji public holiday (2014-05-20), was announced as Friday, June 26, 2015.
