Finland Could Cancel 2 Public Holidays

Finland's Finance Minister, Alexander Stubb, has announced a series of austerity measures which, among other measures, would cancel 2 of Finland's annual non-working public holidays.

The 2 annual non-working public holidays being considered for the ax are Epiphany (January 6) and Ascension Day (39 days after Easter Sunday).
