The Government of Gibraltar has announced that Monday, May 25, 2015, would be the Spring Bank Holiday, an official non-working public holiday in Gibraltar.
The aforementioned announcement is in line with the "Bank And Public Holidays Order 2014" (LN. 2014/2003) (2014-11-01) which had announced the annual bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Gibraltar for the upcoming calendar year 2015, and the subsequent (2014-11-07) "Bank And Public Holidays Order 2014" (LN. 2014/204 Corrigendum) which amended the recently-announced annual bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Gibraltar for the upcoming calendar year 2015.
Recall that the earlier May Day Bank Holiday went back and forth in date as different governments came and went over the past decade, first being set to the first Monday of May (2006-11-10 and 2006-11-09) by the Caruana administration, then being set back to May 1st by the Picardo administration (2012-01-05 and 2012-03-03).
