The Greek Association of Banks has announced that the current stretch of bank holidays in Greece would extend until Thursday night, July 9, at least.
Last week (2015-06-28), Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, had announced a one-off bank holiday in Greece on Monday, June 29, 2015, when banks and the stock exchange remained closed, and as we reported, the Greek Financial Stability Council then recommended that the banks stay shut for a total of six days of bank holidays, from Monday, June 29, until Sunday, July 5, 2015, which was the case.
