The Guatemalan Ministry of Labour has announced that Monday, November 2, 2015, would not be declared as a day in lieu non-working public holiday in Guatemala on account of the upcoming "Día de Todos los Santos" annual public holiday, falling on a Sunday in 2015.
Referring itself to the "Decreto 42-2010 del Congreso de la República" (2010-11-16), the Guatemalan Ministry of Labour pointed-out that the "Día de Todos los Santos" annual non-working public holiday in Guatemala only moves if it occurs during the week, but that it remains on its set date if it falls on the weekend ("cuando el día de asueto recaiga en día martes se gozará el día lunes anterior; si recae en día miércoles o jueves, se gozará el día viernes inmediato; si el mismo recayese en día sábado o domingo, no se modificará"), though there have been some exceptions to that rule in the past (2014-10-29).
