The President of Guyana, Donald Ramotar, has announced that the next national parliamentary election would be held on Monday, May 11, 2015.

The date of the past 2 general elections in Guyana were declared as one-off non-working public holidays in Guyana (2011-11-24, 2011-11-23, 2011-10-10 and 2006-08-23), and we expect Monday, May 11, 2015, to be declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Guyana.

If so, this Monday, May 11, 2015, one-off non-working public holiday in Guyana, would be in addition to the annual list of official non-working 2015 public holidays in Guyana, announced last autumn (2014-11-07).
