The Government of India's State of Telangana has issued the "G.O.RT.No.3167 Dated 02.12.2015" which declares Boxing day, on Saturday, December 26, 2015, as a non-working public holiday in India's State of Telangana, as opposed to an optional public holiday in India's State of Telangana.
Telangana was formed as the 29th state of India on June 2, 2014, having been separated from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, and the list of non-working public holidays in India's state of Telangana was originally published in the "G.O.Rt.No.995, General Administration (Poll.A) Department, dated 05.11.2014, notifying the General Holidays and Optional Holidays 2015".
As per the aforementioned announcement, "In partial modification of the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.995, General Administration (Poll.A) Department, dated 05.11.2014, notifying the General Holidays and Optional Holidays, the Government hereby declare 26.12.2015 (Saturday) as General Holiday on the occasion ofBoxing Day, instead of Optional Holiday, declared earlier.".
