The Central Bank of Jordan has announced a bank holiday on Thursday, April 30, 2015, on account of the annual non-working Jordanian public holiday of Labor Day.
The aforementioned announcement of a bank holiday on Thursday, April 30, 2015, on account of the annual non-working Jordanian public holiday of Labor Day, is in addition to the released (2014-12-21), list of annual non-working bank holidays and public holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2015, although it is in line with past practice (2013-04-19, 2013-01-17, 2012-04-24 and 2006-04-25), though not systematically (2010-04-27 and 2005-04-25), of moving mid-week public holidays, in particular the Labour Day non-working public holiday, to the nearest weekend.
