The Kenyan Government's Interior Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Nkaiserry, has signed a gazette notice announcing that the date of the annual non-working public holiday for the upcoming Idd-Ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) in Kenya would be Saturday, July 18, 2015.
As per the aforementioned Gazette Notice, contrary to what happened 3 years ago (2012-08-13), but in line with what happened other years (2014-07-24, 2013-08-06, 2011-08-19, 2010-09-08 and 2009-09-11), Kenya has declared its 2015 End of Ramadan public holiday on a later date than many, though not all, other Muslim countries.
