The Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission has shifted by a day the previously-announced dates for the upcoming Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) non-working public holidays in Kuwait, to run from September 23 until September 27, 2015, inclusively.
Early last month (2015-08-02), the Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission had proposed to the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers that the dates of the upcoming Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) non-working public holidays in Kuwait should run, this year, again, for 5 days, after a 9-day period of public holidays for the Eid Al-Adha, 2 years ago (2013-10-08). According to that proposal, the Kuwaiti public service would benefit from only 5 consecutive days of non-working public sector holidays, as was the case last year (2014-09-20) and 3 years ago (2012-10-15), from September 22-26, 2015.
The aforementioned announcement of a change by one day of the dates of the upcoming Eid al-Adha annual non-working public holidays in Kuwait, is officially due to Sunday night's surprise announcement of a change in the date of the upcoming Eid al Adha by Saudi Arabia (2015-09-14).
