The government of Moldova has amended the previously-released list of 2016 annual non-working public holidays in Moldova ("cu privire la zilele de odihna în anul 2016" and the later "Cu privire la transferul zilei de odihnă în anul 2016"), by changing the compensation day for the one-off 2016 non-working public holiday in Moldova added to the annual official list of non-working public holidays in Moldova for the upcoming calendar year 2016.
A couple of months ago (2015-10-26), government of Moldova had declared a one-off non-working public holiday in Moldova for 2016, to be observed on Monday, March 7, 2016, and to be compensated by the declaration of Saturday, March 5, 2016, as a regular working day. Today's announcement changes the date of the compensatory working day to Saturday, March 12, 2016, to compensate the declaration of Monday, March 7, 2016, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Moldova.
Last year (2014-11-16), the government of Moldova, well in advance of the beginning of 2015, announced an extension of 3 bridge non-working public holidays in Moldova in 2015, to be compensated by a nearby Saturday being declared a regular working day in Moldova, and did not tinker any further with that list of non-working public holidays in Moldova for the calendar year 2015.
