Mozambique's Labour Minister, Victoria Diogo, has issued a communiqué denying a hoax circulating in social media, stating that Friday, June 26, 2015, had been declared a one-off public holiday in Mozambique.

The aforementioned hoax was that much more credible that the declaration of one-off non-working public holidays by Mozambique's Ministry of Labour (MITRAB), is a relatively common feature of Mozambique's official public holidays calendar (2015-01-14, 2014-12-22, 2013-12-21, 2013-08-01, 2012-12-21, 2011-12-05, 2011-10-16, 2010-12-29, 2010-12-23,...), in particular as Mozambique's Labour Code gives the Minister of Labour the authority to declare one-off public holidays in Mozambique.
