The Acting Chief Secretary to Government of Papua New Guinea, John Kali, has announced that the government of Papua New Guinea had declared Monday, July 13, 2015, as a non-working public holiday in Papua New Guinea “in recognition of the Pacific Games”.
As per the aforementioned announcement, the National Executive Council has declared Monday, July 13, “to be a public holiday throughout the National Capital District for the purpose of the events of the Pacific Games”.
The aforementioned declaration of Monday, July 13, 2015, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Papua New Guinea, is in addition to the previously announced (2014-08-18), then amended (2015-06-01), list of non-working public holidays in Papua New Guinea for the calendar year 2015.
