The Samoan Prime Minister Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, has announced that the government of Samoa will declare a half-day one-off non-working public holiday in Samoa on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, to allow Samoans the opportunity to watch that day's rugby test match between Manu Samoa and the New Zealand All Blacks in Apia.
The declaration of Wednesday, July 8, 2015, is in addition to the quadrennial list of official non-working public holidays in Samoa for the calendar years 2015-2016-2017-2018, as released by the Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry And Labour in past years (2014-04-20 and 2011-09-06), and follows a series of similar rugby-related one-off public holidays in Samoa (2010-06-05, 2010-06-02, 2007-04-12 and 2007-04-06).
