The Venezuelan regulatory body for the banking sector (La Superintendencia de Instituciones del Sector Bancario) has released the official list of the dates of the non-working public holidays in Venezuela in 2016 as well as of the bank holidays in Venezuela for the upcoming calendar year 2016.
As usual (2014-08-04, 2013-08-01, 2012-07-17, 2011-08-06 and 2010-12-05), the list gives details of the banks-only holidays that are moved to adjoin the weekend nearest to their traditional date. In 2016, six such bank holidays will be moved to the nearest Monday.
