The government of Anguilla has released its annual list of the official bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Anguilla for the calendar year 2016.
Once again (2015-01-20, 2014-02-02, 2012-08-25, 2011-11-07, 2010-11-10, 2009-12-04, 2008-12-04 and 2007-11-30), the list of public holidays in Anguilla for the calendar year 2016, released by the government of Anguilla, lists the December 19 public holiday as "National Heroes and Heroines Day" (previously, it was called "Separation Day"), and the March 2nd birthday of James Ronald Webster is also listed as a full national public holiday (until 2010 it was only a school holiday).
No apparent error appears in the list of the official non-working public holidays in Anguilla for the calendar year 2016, and therefore we do not expect a revised list of 2016 public holidays in Anguilla, as happened recently for 2 consecutive years (2012-04-26 and 2011-02-28).
Additional, one-off public holidays are always a possibility, as was the case, last year (2015-04-23), when the newly formed Anguillan Government Executive Council approved a draft regulation which enabled the Governor of Anguilla to prescribe Friday, April 24, 2015, as a one-off post-election public holiday in Anguilla, under section 4(a) of the Anguilla Public Holidays Act.
