Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has issued a decree declaring Monday and Tuesday, September 12 and 13, 2016, as non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan on account of this year's annual Gurban Bayram (Feast of Sacrifice, or Eid al-Adha) annual public holidays in Azerbaijan.

The aforementioned declaration of Monday and Tuesday, September 12 and 13, 2016, as non-working public holidays on account of this year's Gurban Bayram (Eid al Adha or Feast of Sacrifice) is in line with the list of 2016 public holidays in Azerbaijan which was published late last year (2015-12-25).

As the weekends in Azerbaijan are Saturdays and Sundays, the declaration of Monday and Tuesday, September 12 and 13, 2016, as non-working public holidays means a period of 4 days of non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan from September 10 to 13, 2016.

Note that, in addition to the aforementioned declaration of Monday and Tuesday, September 12 and 13, 2016, as non-working public holidays on account of this year's Gurban Bayram (Eid al Adha or Feast of Sacrifice), today's announcement by Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers goes on to declare Monday, September 26, 2016, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Azerbaijan as it coincides with the upcoming constitutional referendum ("On Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan").
