Bolivia's Minister of Labour has issued a communique announcing that Tuesday, October 11, 2016, would be a non-working public holiday in Bolivia for Bolivian Women's Day Día de la Mujer Boliviana as a compulsory non-working public holiday in Bolivia for both the private and public sectors.
The aforementioned announcement ("Se dispone asueto el día martes 11 de octubre del presente año para todas las mujeres del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia que trabajan en el sector público y privado... con el 100% de goce de haberes y beneficios"), refers itself to the Decreto Ley 07352 de 11 de octubre de 1965 and the later Decreto Supremo 17081 de 1979 and is limited to women employees.
