A cabinet spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower and Immigration has announced that Sunday, October 2, 2016, would be a non-working official public holiday in Egypt for both the public sector and the private sector on account of the upcoming Hijri 1438 Islamic New Year annual non-working public holiday of Egypt.

As usual (24-Oct-2014), the aforementioned announcement that Sunday, October 2, 2016, would be a non-working official public holiday in Egypt for both the public sector and the private sector on account of the upcoming Hijri 1438 Islamic New Year, was made following Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta announcing that Sunday would mark the Hijiri new year 1438 in Egypt.
