The Bank of Greece, Greece's Central Bank, has issued a communiqué amending the previously-released list of 2016 bank holidays in Greece, by moving this year's annual May 1st bank holiday to Tuesday, May 3, 2016, as was done on some previous occasions in the past.
The aforementioned announcement that this year's annual May 1st bank holiday and Greek non-working public holiday would be moved to Tuesday, May 3, 2016, thus amends the list of official Greek bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Greece for the calendar year 2016, as announced last summer (2015-07-05).
A few years ago (2013-04-24 and 2013-04-23) the Bank of Greece and the Greek Government had similarly moved the annual May 1st bank holiday and Greek non-working public holiday to Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
