The government of Guinea Conakry, through its Ministers of Labour and of the Public Sector ("les Ministres en charge du Travail et de la Fonction Publique"), has announced that Monday, August 15, 2016, had been declared as a non-working public holiday in Guinea Conakry on account of the upcoming "Assomption".
As usual (2016-07-01, 2016-04-30, 2015-09-30, 2015-04-30, 2015-01-02 and 2014-08-14), the aforementioned announcement, by Minister Kourouma, is in line with last January's government of Guinea Conakry announcement (2016-01-26) of its list of 2016 non-working public holidays (jours chômés et payés) in the Republic of Guinea Conakry.
The aforementioned announcement was made with reference to the current Guinea Conakry public holidays legislation ("Conformément aux dispositions du Décret N°D/95/250/PRG/SGG du 1er Août 1995, instituant les fêtes légales en République de Guinée").
