The government of Guinea Conakry, through its Ministers of Labour and of the Public Sector ("les Ministres en charge de la Fonction Publique et du Travail"), has announced that Saturday, July 2nd, 2016, had been declared as a non-working public holiday in Guinea Conakry on account of the upcoming "lendemain de la nuit de Lailatoul Ghadr".
As usual (2016-04-30, 2015-09-30, 2015-04-30, 2015-01-02 and 2014-08-14), the aforementioned announcement, by Minister Kourouma, is in line with last January's government of Guinea Conakry announcement (2016-01-26) of its list of 2016 non-working public holidays (jours chômés et payés) in the Republic of Guinea Conakry.
The aforementioned announcement, made in the context of the current Guinea Conakry public holidays legislation ("Conformément aux dispositions du Décret N°D/95/250/PRG/SGG du 1er Août 1995, instituant les fêtes légales en République de Guinée"), goes on to stress that there will not be a day in lieu non-working public holiday in Guinea Conakry on Monday, July 4, 2016, to compensate the fact that this year's "Lailatoul Ghadr" annual non-working public holiday of Guinea Conakry falls on a Saturday ("a noter que le lundi 4 juillet reste un jour de travail").
