Later today, the Knesset (Israel's Parliament) is expected to unanimously approve the second and third reading of a bill which will introduce a new holiday in Israel to commemorate the Aliyah.
Despite some reports in the foreign media, this new national day to commemorate the Aliyah, to be observed on Nisan 10, is not expected to be a non-working day (ie. it is expected to be a regular working day), and therefore today's vote will not affect the previously-released list of days in 2016 which will be observed as bank and public holidays in Israel (2015-11-09).
