Ivory Coast 2016 Aïd el Fitr Public Holiday

The government of the Ivory Coast, through its Ministère de l'Emploi, des Affaires Sociales et de la Solidarité Nationale, has announced that it had declared Wednesday, July 6, 2016, as the date of the annual national non-working public holiday in the Ivory Coast ("jour férié, chômé et payé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national") on account of the upcoming Aïd el Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday of the Ivory Coast.

As was the case when the Ministère de l'Emploi, des Affaires Sociales et de la Solidarité Nationale, late last week (2016-07-01), announced that it had declared Saturday, July 2, 2016, as the date of the annual national non-working public holiday in the Ivory Coast ("jour férié et chômé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national") on account of the upcoming "Nuit du destin" (Revelation of the Quoran), the aforementioned date of Wednesday, July 6, 2016, as the date of the annual national non-working public holiday ("jour férié, chômé et payé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national") on account of the upcoming Aïd el Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday of the Ivory Coast is also based on the Umm al-Qora Islamic calendar as used in Saudi Arabia.
