Malaysian State Public Holiday May 15

Earlier tonight, the State Secretary of Malaysia's State of Johor, Datuk Ismail Karim, has announced that the government of Malaysia's State of Johor had declared that Sunday, May 15, 2016, would be a one-off additional non-working public holiday in the State of Johor, to celebrate tonight's winning by Johor's team of this year's FA Cup.

Malaysian states often declare one-off non-working public holidays on account of football victories (2015-12-12, 2015-12-12, 2015-10-31, 2015-05-19, 2014-11-02, 2013-11-01, 2013-10-30, 2013-06-13, 2012-10-15, 2012-07-18, 2012-05-14, 2011-11-21, 2011-06-13, 2011-06-11, 2010-12-30, 2010-12-29, 2010-10-30, 2009-11-04,...), in particular the Malaysian states of Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Johor (2013-11-23), where the day after most important matches, Sunday, is a regular working day.
