The Consejo de Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Melilla has released its calendario laboral, the annual official list of 2017 non-working public holidays in Spain's autonomous region of Melilla, in the Boletín Oficial de Melilla (BOME).
As per the aforementioned "Acuerdo de 26 de septiembre de 2016 de la Ciudad Autónoma de Melilla, del Consejo de Gobierno, relativo a la aprobación del Calendario Laboral para el año 2017" (BOME de 4 de octubre de 2016), the March 19 annual public holiday that will fall on a Sunday in 2017, will be compensated, once again (2015-09-17, 2014-09-27, 2013-10-05 and 2012-10-10) by the inclusion of a public holiday for the Feast of Sacrifice (Pascua del Sacrificio) Muslim public holiday, its date in Melilla having been set to September 1, 2017, as was recently done in neighboring Ceuta (2016-10-02).
