South Sudan Public Holiday January 2

The Government of South Sudan, through its Undersecretary of Labour, Mary Hillary Wani, has announced that Monday, January 2, 2017, would be an official non-working public holiday in South Sudan "because the New Year falls on Sunday the 1st of January, 2017".

As per the aforementioned statement released by the South Sudanese Ministry of Labor, Public Service, and Human Resource Development, "work will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2017".
