The Directorate General of Personnel Administration has reminded the population that, as per its previously-released official annual calendar of official non-working public holidays in Taiwan for the calendar year 2016, Satuday, June 4, 2016, will be a regular working day in Taiwan, due to the one-off bridge public holiday in Taiwan on Friday, June 10, 2016.

The aforementioned announcement that Satuday, June 4, 2016, would be a regular working day in Taiwan, due to the one-off bridge public holiday in Taiwan on Friday, June 10, 2016, is in line with the previously-released (2015-10-15) official annual calendar of official non-working public holidays in Taiwan for the calendar year 2016, and the preceding year's (2014-10-21), extension by the Cabinet of the Government of Taiwan (the Executive Yuan) of the previously-announced (2014-06-12) annual calendar of non-working public holidays in Taiwan for the calendar year 2015, by adding bridge public holidays to the recently-passed change of public holidays law in Taiwan (2014-05-10) which added the concept of substitute public holidays when one of Taiwan's official annual non-working public holidays falls on a weekend.
