The UAE Ministry of Labour has, in turn, announced the dates of the upcoming 2016 Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays in the UAE for the UAE private sector.

As per the aforementioned announcement, and as usual (2015-07-13 and 2014-07-21), the UAE private sector will only benefit from 2 days of non-working public holidays on account of the upcoming 2016 Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays in the UAE, on Shawwal 1 and 2.

Earlier this week (2016-06-27), the UAE Government had announced the dates of the upcoming 2016 Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays in the UAE for the public sector. That announcement which was based on a circular by the UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, stated that the UAE public sector holidays for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays would run from Friday, July 1, until Saturday, July 9, 2016, inclusively.

The last day of the month of Ramadan was declared an annual public sector holiday, a decade ago (2002-02-12), while, in 2009, the UAE annual public sector holidays for the End of Ramadan were extended to the 3rd day of the month of Shawwal by the "Cabinet Resolution No. (17) of 2009 regarding the Public Holidays at the Federal Government" (2009-04-26).
