The Chief Minister's Office of Australia's Capital Territory (ACT) has released the list of the official non-working public holidays to be observed in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Australia, during the calendar years 2018 and 2019.

After years of continuity (2015-12-07, 2012-04-10, 2011-03-02 and 2010-07-26) in the method of determining the date of the Family and Community Day public holiday (2007-07-30) which was modified 6 years ago (2009-10-16), the aforementioned list of the official non-working public holidays to be observed in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Australia, during the calendar year 2018, once again (2015-12-07 and 2015-01-21) deviates from that rule, based on the rule "the first Monday in the September/October school holidays".

The aforementioned list of the official non-working public holidays to be observed in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Australia, during the calendar years 2018 and 2019, confirms the declaration of Easter Sunday an official public holiday in the ACT (2015-10-31).

The aforementioned list of the official non-working public holidays to be observed in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Australia, during the calendar years 2018 and 2019, makes no mention of the recent discussions of a new annual non-working public holiday in the ACT, replacing either the Family and Community Day or the "Queen's Birthday", to be tentatively called "Reconciliation Day", to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1967 referendum whose result led to amendments to the Australian constitution to include Aboriginal people in the census and make them subject to Commonwealth law (2016-08-28 and 2016-06-08).
