Bolivia's Minister of Labour, Elizabeth Molina, has issued a communiqué announcing that Monday, August 7, 2017, would be observed as an official non-working public holiday ("feriado con suspensión de actividades públicas y privadas") to commemorate the "Día de la Patria", which falls on a Sunday in 2017.
The aforementioned announcement that Monday, August 7, 2017, would be observed as an official non-working public holiday ("El feriado nacional del 7 de agosto será con suspensión de actividades públicas y privadas. Su cumplimiento será en todo el territorio del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia, añade el Ministerio de Trabajo"), is in line with past practice in Bolivia when a public holiday falls on a Sunday (2017-07-12, 2017-01-06).
