Chile's Ministro Secretario General de Gobierno, jointly with Chile's Ministerio del Trabajo y Previsión Social, has announced the annual list of bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Chile ("Feriados de carácter general" and "Irrenunciable") for the calendar year 2018.
As usual (2016-01-01, 2015-01-03 and 2014-01-04), the aforementioned list of bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Chile, as released by the Ministerio del Trabajo y Previsión Social, for the calendar year 2018, takes into account the various changes made to Chilean public holidays over the past decade (2010-07-19, 2008-10-11 and 2007-01-11) with, this time, no error in the date of the Día de las Iglesias Evangélicas y Protestantes annual non-working public holiday of Chile, and including the recent Ley 20.983 declaring January 2 as a day in lieu non-working public holiday in Chile, whenever January 1st falls on a Sunday (2016-12-21 and 2016-12-18).
