In a communiqué released earlier today, the Office of Communication of the Presidency of Haiti (Bureau de la communication de la Primature) has announced that Tuesday February 7, 2017, had been declared as a non-working public holiday throughout Haiti to coincide with the inauguration of President Jovenel Moïse.
Today's announcement ("Les écoles, l’administration publique, le commerce et l’industrie chômeront le mardi 7 février 2017, à l’occasion de l’investiture de Jovenel Moïse, proclamé président élu d’Haïti, le 3 janvier 2017") had originally not mentioned that the private sector would benefit from the aforementioned declaration of Tuesday February 7, 2017, as a non-working public holiday throughout Haiti to coincide with the inauguration of President Jovenel Moïse.
