The government of the Ivory Coast, through its Ministère de l'Emploi, des Affaires Sociales et de la Solidarité Nationale, has announced that it had declared Sunday, June 25, 2017, as the date of the annual national non-working public holiday in the Ivory Coast ("jour férié, chômé et payé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national") on account of the upcoming Aïd el Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday of the Ivory Coast.

The aforementioned date of Wednesday, July 6, 2016, as the date of the annual national non-working public holiday ("jour férié, chômé et payé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national") on account of the upcoming Aïd el Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday of the Ivory Coast seems based on the Umm al-Qora Islamic calendar as used in Saudi Arabia, as in past years (05-Jul-2016, 16-Jul-2015 and 27-Jul-2014).
