Karnataka 2017 Eid Miladun Nabi Public Holiday Moved

The Government of India's State of Karnataka has amended the terms of the "Notification NO.DPAR 23 HHL2OI6 dated 28.11.2016" which officially lists the annual non-working public holidays to be observed in the Indian State of Karnataka for the calendar year 2017, by moving the Eid Miladun Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday from Friday, December 1, to Saturday, December 2, 2017.

The aforementioned "Notification NO.DPAR 23 HHL2OI6 dated 28.11.2016", issued by the General Administration department of Karnataka and signed by order of and in the name of the Govemor of Karnataka, late last year (2016-11-30), had listed the date of the Eid Miladun Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday in India's state of Karnataka in 2017 as Friday, December 1, 2017.

This past week (2017-11-23 and 2017-11-22), the Indian States of Telangana and Tamil Nadu, which had also originally declared Friday, December 1, 2017, as the date of the 2017 Eid Miladun Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday (2016-11-23 and 2016-11-15), also announced a change of date for December 2.
