Kyrgyzstan March 2017 Public Holidays Amended

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced that Monday, March 20, 2017, would be an additional one-off official non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan on account of the upcoming Nooruz annual non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, thus creating a 4-day period of public holidays in Kyrgyzstan from Saturday, March 18, until Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

The aforementioned announcement was made in accordance with Article 113 of the Labor Code, and thus amends the approved calendar of 2017 public holidays of the Kyrgyz Republic as announced earlier this year (2017-01-09).

Note that, as is commonly done in Kyrgyzstan (2016-12-14, 2016-04-20, 2016-02-16, 2015-12-24, 2014-12-26, 2013-04-28, 2011-12-31, 2010-11-11, 2010-08-25, 2010-02-15, 2009-12-11, 2008-12-19 and 2007-12-27), in compensation for Monday, March 20, 2017, being declared an additional one-off official non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan, Saturday, March 25, 2017, has been declared a regular working day in Kyrgyzstan.
