A press statement released by the Chief Minister’s Office of Malaysia's state of Negeri Sembilan has announced that the state government of Negeri Sembilan had decided to declare Tuesday, April 25, 2017, as a one-off day in lieu non-working public holiday on account of the previously-announced national public holiday of Malaysia for the upcoming installation of Sultan Muhammad V as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, as it conflicts with the date of the 2017 Israk and Mikraj public holiday of Malaysia.

The aforementioned announcement that the state government of Negeri Sembilan had decided to declare Tuesday, April 25, 2017, as a one-off day in lieu non-working public holiday on account of the previously-announced national public holiday of Malaysia for the upcoming installation of Sultan Muhammad V, as it conflicts with the date of the 2017 Israk and Mikraj public holiday of Malaysia, follows the recent announcement (2017-04-03) by Malaysian Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan, that Monday, April 24, 2017, would be a one-off non-working public holiday in Malaysia, and thus further amends the "Jadual Hari Kelepasan Am Persekutuan 2016" (Federal Public Holidays Schedule 2017), released last summer (2016-07-22).
