The Banco Nacional de Panamá has released its annual list of bank holidays and public holidays in Panama for the calendar year 2017.
The aforementioned announcement of the annual list of bank holidays and public holidays in Panama for the calendar year 2017, is in line with preceding announcement that neither the January 9 annual non-working public holiday in Panama (2013-10-02), nor the November 28 annual non-working public holiday in Panama (2014-11-30), would any longer be covered by the "Ley 70 del 28 de diciembre de 2007" (aka. dias puentes law) which went into effect 6 years ago (2008-01-03 and 2007-12-30), but was only partially applied until this year.
As usual (2016-01-04, 2015-01-09, 2014-01-18, 2012-09-15, 2011-12-06 and 2010-03-25) banks get additional bank holidays whenever one of the aforementioned public holidays falls on a Sunday.
