The Peruvian government of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski has released an amended and expanded version of its previously-released list of the official non-working public holidays in Peru for the upcoming calendar year 2017 ("feriados para sector público y privado").

As was done regularly in past years (2013-01-01, 2011-12-29, 2011-03-06, 2010-02-17, 2008-12-15, 2008-02-08 and 2006-09-15), though not the past 3 years (2015-12-31, 2014-12-09 and 2014-03-31), the Government of Peru has just issued the Decreto Supremo 001-2017-PCM which declares 3 additional non-working public holidays in Peru for 2017 to stimulate internal tourism (con el fin de fomentar el desarrollo del turismo interno y dinamizar las economías locales).

Though the practice of declaring one-off non-working public holidays in Peru to stimulate internal tourism was abandoned for the past 3 years, some isolated one-off public holidays in Peru did get declared (2016-08-13, 2015-09-12, 2015-07-23 and 2014-12-14).
