A bill has been introduced in Romania's lower house of parliament (Camera Deputaților) by a coalition of UDMR, PSD, PNL and PMP parliamentarians which would add a new annual non-working public holiday in Romania, as well as bank holiday in Romania, on Good Friday (Vinerea Mare).
The Romanian Labour Code was recently modified to include a new annual non-working public holiday in Romania on June 1st, to mark International Children's Day (2016-11-17, 2016-10-18, 2016-09-15, 2016-06-13 and 2016-04-08), and a new annual non-working public holiday in Romania on January 24, to commemorate the reunification of Wallachia and Moldavia (2016-10-07 and 2016-09-06).
