A spokesman for Saudi Arabia's Civil Service Ministry has announced that the upcoming 2017 End of Ramadan (Eid al Fitr) non-working public sector holidays in Saudi Arabia would be extended by 4 days as compared to last month's tweeted announcement that the 2017 End of Ramadan public sector holidays would run from Ramadan 25 until Shawwal 5.

Contrary to the Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) Saudi public sector holidays, which have regularly been extended from 10 days to 11 days at the min and sometimes to 16 days (2016-09-01, 2015-09-23, 2013-09-26, 2012-09-17 and 2011-10-27), the End of Ramadan public sector holidays are usually quite stable, and one would have expected last month's initial announcement (2017-05-27) to remain unchanged.
