The Office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis has issued a statement ruling-out the declaration of Monday, September 18, 2017, as a one-off non-working public holiday in St. Kitts and Nevis.

As per the announcement by the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, "The Office of the Prime Minister wishes to inform the general public that Saturday, Sept. 16, and Tuesday, Sept. 19, are public holidays in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis for the observance of National Heroes Day and Independence Day, respectively. Please be informed that Monday, Sept. 18, is NOT a public holiday".

Had Monday, September 18, 2017, been declared a one-off non-working public holiday in St. Kitts and Nevis, this would have further amended the list of official non-working public holidays in St. Kitts and Nevis for the calendar year 2017 as announced by the Office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, earlier this year (2017-01-23), and which was already twice amended earlier this year (2017-03-31 and 2017-03-16).
