The General Administration Principal Secretary of the Government of India's state of Uttarakhand, Radha Raturi, has announced the list of the days which will be non-working public holidays, government holidays and bank holidays, in India's state of Uttarakhand for the upcoming calendar year 2018.

The aforementioned notification of the annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Uttarakhand for the upcoming calendar year 2018 ("In exercise of the powers conferred by the explanation of Section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act 26 of 1881) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. 20/25/56/pub-Ist dated 30.11.1957, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir hereby declares the days to be public holidays during the calendar year -2018"), is contained in a Notification issued by the Government of Uttarakhand, covering Government Holidays and Restricted Holidays in India's state of Uttarakhand for the upcoming calendar year 2018, which includes 5 fewer public holidays (Holika Dahan, Jamat-ul-Fida, Raksha Bandhan, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Duj) in India's state of Uttarakhand, than last year (2016-11-13), as the Trivendra Singh Rawat-led BJP government has reduced the number of gazetted holidays and increased the number of the restricted/optional holidays in 2018 in Uttarakhand.

Later changes to the list of public holidays, government holidays and bank holidays, in India's state of Uttarakhand, for the upcoming calendar year 2018, are always possible (2017-10-25).
