Source: Boletín Oficial de la República Argentina (Buenos Aires)
Posted: Monday, April 9, 2018

The government of Argentina has denied recent rumours that Tuesday, April 24, 2018, would be a non-working public holiday in Argentina.

The aforementioned rumours that Tuesday, April 24, 2018, would be a non-working public holiday in Argentina, were fueled by the inclusion of April 24in the Argentinian version of Google Calendar.

However, April 24, as per the Ley 26.199 of 2006, is only a holiday for government workers who are of Armenian descent ("todos los empleados y funcionarios de organismos públicos de origen armenio a disponer libremente los días 24 de abril de todos los años para poder asistir y participar de las actividades que se realicen en conmemoración de la tragedia que afectó a su comunidad").
