The Government of Armenia has announced the annual list of official public holidays in Armenia for the calendar year 2018.

The aforementioned announcement of the annual list of official public holidays in Armenia for the calendar year 2018, continues the process begun 8 years ago (2009-12-05), when the government of Armenia amended the "Law on Armenian Holidays and Memory Days", adding 7 non-working public holidays, around the time of Christmas, although the practice is set to end next year (2017-12-14 and 2017-12-13).

However, the annual list of official public holidays in Armenia for the calendar year 2018, once again (2017-01-20, 2016-01-26 and 2015-02-24), no longer follows the practice (2013-11-19, 2012-12-21 and 2010-12-16), begun a few years ago (2008-06-26), of declaring public holidays for each of the "Commemoration Days of All the Departed" feasts of the lord of Armenian Apostolic Church (2012-09-07, 2012-07-06, 2012-04-06, 2010-04-01, 2010-07-09, 2010-08-13, and 2010-09-10) at the beginning of the year, preferring to declare these on a case-by-case basis, as was done last year (2017-08-16, 2017-04-20 and 2017-04-04).
