Bermuda's Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Bermuda, John Rankin, has announced that the Bermuda Day public holiday for 2019 would be moved from May 31 to May 24, 2019.

The aforementioned proclamation ("Friday, the thirty-first day of May two thousand and nineteen shall not be kept as the Bermuda Day public holiday and that Friday, the twenty-fourth day of May two thousand and nineteen shall be kept as the Bermuda Day public holiday in lieu") thus amends the revised list of public holidays in Bermuda for the years 2018-2019-2020-2021, as initially announced 2 years ago (2016-10-31) and later amended (2018-06-01 and 2017-12-24).

Recall that, last year (2017-12-08, 2017-11-19, 2017-11-04, 2017-05-15), the "Public Holidays Amendment Act 2017" changed the date on which the Bermuda Day public holiday is celebrated, from May 24th to the last Friday in May.
