Ecuador's Minister of Tourism (Ministro de Turismo), has issued a communique confirming that the upcoming August 10, Primer Grito de la Independencia, annual public holiday of Ecuador is a compulsory annual non-working public holiday in Ecuador which will be observed, this year, on Friday, August 10, 2018.
The aforementioned announcement that the upcoming August 10, Primer Grito de la Independencia, annual public holiday of Ecuador will be observed on Friday, August 10, 2018, is in line with the Decreto No.858, which was released a couple of years ago (2015-12-29), by Ecuador's Presidency, and which specifies the dates of Ecuador's non-working public holidays for the calendar years 2016-2020, although exceptions to these rules have been declared twice already, earlier this year and late last year (2018-04-26 and 2017-11-30), by Ecuador's new President, Lenín Moreno Garcés.
