The Government of Fiji has issued a reminder of the previously-announced Wednesday, November 14, 2018, additional one-off non-working public holiday in Fiji on account of the upcoming general election, and of the details of its observance.

The aforementioned announcement of Wednesday, November 14, 2018, as an additional one-off non-working public holiday in Fiji on account of the upcoming general election, thus amends the terms of the Gazette Notice No. 79, containing the annual list of the dates of official non-working public holidays in Fiji for the calendar year 2018, as released last year by the Fiji Governing Cabinet (2017-08-14).

A similar one-off non-working public holiday was also declared in Fiji on the occasion of the preceding general elections (2014-09-12, 2014-08-12, 2014-04-24, 2014-03-28, and 2013-12-06).

On the occasion of the then previous planned elections in Fiji ().
