Ghana's President, Nana Akufo-Addo, has declared Monday, July 2, 2018, as a one-off statutory non-working public holiday in Ghana on account of the upcoming Republic Day annual public holiday, which falls on a Sunday this year, and should be observed as a non-working public holiday throughout Ghana.
The aforementioned announcement that Monday, July 2, 2018, had been declared as a one-off statutory non-working public holiday in Ghana on account of the upcoming Republic Day annual public holiday falling on a Sunday ("In view of the fact that 1st July, 2018 falls on a Sunday, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana has by Executive Instrument (E.I), declared Monday, 2nd July, 2018 as a Public Holiday to be observed as such throughout the country"), is in line with the list of official 2018 non-working public holidays in Ghana, announced late last year (2017-12-30).
